Samantha is a former U.S. Army journalist. She is a life-long equestrienne with a passion for long distance trail riding. She moved to Nevada in 2008 and quickly fell in love with the Silver State and its wild horses. She is a member of the Long Riders’; Guild and vice president of the Natural Horsemanship Association of Northern Nevada. She has given public presentations to diverse audiences at dozens of venues and events throughout Nevada and California and written articles for a variety of online horse publications.
Samantha’s love for horses and long riding led her to create the Nevada Discovery Ride project in 2010. She completed a nearly 500 mile ride in 2013 and a 1,100+ mile ride in 2016 – in hopes to encourage wild horse adoption.
